Location of Daniel Jenkyn's resting place : At the junction of Porthmeor Hill and Beach Road, immediately west of Tate St Ives. The nearest post code is TR26 1JG. Daniel Jenkyn's grave is located in Barnoon Cemetery StIves , directly above the Tate Gallery overlooking Porthmeor Beach. The inscription on the headstone reads - Daniel Jenkyn 31/12/1914 30 also Eliza Stevens Jenkyn his mother. There is a car park adjacent to the cemetery but parking in StIves in seasonal periods is well nigh impossible! A far better option is to take the park and ride train from Lelant or St Erth railway station into StIves station. The branch line railway is very picturesque , inexpensive and would have been familiar to Daniel Jenkyn. The red star on the satellite image below shows the approximate location of the grave. If you start by walking down the road from the car park to the chapel buildings in the middle of the cemetery then you will see various avenues through the graves on your left. Daniel's grave is situated on the last avenue before the wall. The photographs below are taken from the grave itself, please use these to help find the exact location. The blue star on the map indicates the location of Alfred Wallis's grave which was designed by Bernard Leach and is well worth visiting.
Location of Bernard Leach's resting place : Longstone Cemetry , about two miles outside StIves at Longstone Hill, Carbis Bay, St Ives,Cornwall,TR26 2SX Enter the graveyard and you will come to a roundabout - if you enter the roundabout at 6 o'clock then 2 o'clock will point toward Bernard Leach's resting place in the upper portion of the cemetery.
Another method of locating the grave is to find the two large pine trees just off the roundabout - if you stand between them and face uphill, then the very furthest slate gravestones at the top of the slope are those of Bernard and his devoted secretary also a Bahai - Gertrude (Trudi Scott). Please see accompanying photographs.

The grave is located on the more modern side of the cemetery on the left side of the path that leads to the sea - not in the graves within the churchyard. Enter through the small wooden gate to the left and turn left . The grave is marked by a celtic cross and the inscription is very low down on the base of the monument.
